This mix features a selection of tracks from BCBG, various Campag Velocet solo projects & B-Sides, records we feel Campag Velocet were influenced by and bands we've discovered on the back of listening to Campag Velocet.

The mix kicks off with the opening track from BCBG followed by English Electric. This is an unreleased track recorded around the time of BCBG. The mix then becomes more ambient before building into a crescendo with The Stooges and Drencrom Velocet Synthemesc. Then we include another unreleased track called Fashion Vs Carnage. Later in the mix is a track by The Count called Maurice Sendak. The Count were formed by Pete Voss (singer) after Campag Velocet split following the release of the second album, It's Beyond Our Control. The song Maurice Sendak is from an unreleased demo recording (big thanks to Lora for providing this!). Another member of Campag Velocet, Ian 'Arge' Cater (guitar), went on to release under the name Two Cities. We feature a track from the Speechless EP called Cholly.

The second half of the mix focuses on electronic productions. It's well known that Campag Velocet were clubbers heavily influenced by Detroit Techno. So we've picked a handful of Detroit Techno and Chicago House 12" that we love and that we feel flow well from the Campag Velocet sound. The final track on the mix is a rare Underground Resistance record that illustrates how the sound that Campag Velocet helped us get into has developed.

For anyone unlucky enough not to already own BCBG you can buy it here: Campag Velocet - Bon Chic Bon Genre

The second, and final, Campag Velocet album It's Beyond Our Control can be bought here: Campag Velocet - It's Beyond Our Control

We hope you like the mix, let us know what you think. Up the 'pag!
